Dylan Bauer shares how his commitment to community progress aligns with Community Progress Council’s mission
Downtown York’s momentum didn’t happen by accident. It’s fueled by the work of many individuals and organizations invested in our community’s growth.
Among them is Dylan Bauer, President & CEO of Royal Square Development & Construction (RSDC) and co-owner of Granfalloons Tavern, whose support for community initiatives aligns with a belief that shared progress strengthens the entire county.
Dylan often points back to a philosophy that guides both his work and his giving:
“In the words of John F. Kennedy, ‘a rising tide lifts all boats,’” Dylan says. “That philosophy is something that my team lives by as we push to redevelop downtown York. Our inspiration comes from those before us who realize that it takes an army of support to move progress forward.”
That perspective first drew him to Community Progress Council and its commitment to helping people move beyond crisis and toward financial stability, education, and long-term goals.
“CPC’s mission is centered on empowering people, not just providing short-term relief,” Dylan says, which aligns with his business goals to move wealth throughout the community.
That alignment has made Community Progress Council a natural partner for Dylan’s businesses: Granfalloons hosts a high-energy Give Local York happy hour, with 2026 our third year running. The evening draws a crowd ready to give back, with a portion of drink proceeds supporting CPC’s fundraising, and generates excitement before the 24-hour event even kicks off. In 2025, RSDC also stepped up as a Give Local York donor, strengthening the impact even further.

Of all the ways to give, Give Local York holds a special place for Dylan — not just for its convenience, but for the community spirit it sparks.
“It keeps things easy!” Dylan says with a laugh. “It’s also a lot of fun to see the community come together and raise money as a group.”
His enthusiasm mirrors the energy that Community Progress Council team members bring to Give Local York, a celebration of what York County can accomplish when neighbors show up for one another. With all hands on deck, it’s hard to miss the bright orange shirts from Team CPC downtown on the first Friday in May.
At the heart of Dylan’s philanthropy is a clear purpose: Ensuring York County residents have what they need to break cycles of poverty and seize new opportunities.
